How about a list of common Tech jargon and random words spewed over the internet in one place?
MMMM...appetizing indeed!
Bing it!- Anyone who says this needs to be stripped of all electronic gadgets and sent to the furthest regions of space to rethink their savage crimes against humanity.
Phablet- Why call a device by it's name when you can think of something much more tasteless and absurd! Fabulous, fabulous...now you can finally be chic and unique.
AMOLED- Works differently than LCD, it uses organic coumpounds and is able to shut off each pixel individually, enabling deep blacks, whereas an LCD still appears gray. These screens are generally preferred, although they can't match the brightness of an LCD panel.
4G- Well if it doesn't say LTE afterwards it is technically 3.5G, but 3.5G (aka HSPA+) can reach current LTE speeds. So in reality our current 4G LTE is not truly 4G technology. 4G of today should range from 5-60 Mbps roughly (varies from cell Carrier to Carrier)
OS- Operating System. It's the software that runs all your little apps...I don't know if the average Joe recognizes this acronym, so it's here for kicks and giggles and any other excitement derived from discovering new words on the internetz.

WP- Windows Phone. A phone that runs Windows. Actually a phone that runs Windows Mobile, but it's not called Windows Mobile anymore because it uses the NT kernel and cannot run any of those legacy apps from the early 2000's. Moral of the story is this is Microsoft's latest mobile OS.

Bloatware- Unheard of on iOS, but a major problem for Android and a minor nuisance for WP. It's apps installed by the Manufacturer or Wireless Carrier which are usually useless, buggy apps, whose functions can be found else where with a much better execution. Easily uninstallable on WP; however, on Android some of these are installed as system apps so they can't be removed. At least not without root!
Root- Allows write access to system files/folders on Android devices. Gives the potential to replace anything on the OS. With great power comes great responsibility! Also, the first step to allowing powerful apps to run on the device and removing undesired, system installed bloatware.

Jailbreak- Unchains an iOS device allowing more customization and ability to install apps outside of the walled garden that is iTunes.

If none of these helped you in the understanding of the meaning of life (that's what we were discussing right?) maybe this unique place can!
